Use case

Cloud Migration

Assessment, migration and cost governance for organisations moving workloads to cloud — or moving some of them back.

Move what benefits, leave what does not

The problem

What we hear consistently

  • Lift-and-shift migrations that arrive costing more than the data centre
  • Applications with undocumented dependencies nobody dares to move
  • Cloud bills that grow faster than the workloads underneath them
  • Compliance and residency constraints discovered mid-migration

Typical outcomes

lower run cost than the pre-migration estate
38%lower run cost than the pre-migration estate
unplanned downtime during cutover
0unplanned downtime during cutover
of resources cost-attributed at go-live
100%of resources cost-attributed at go-live

Figures are drawn from delivered engagements. Yours will differ — we will tell you what is realistic before you commit.

Our approach

How we actually go about it

  1. Decide per workload

Each application is assessed on its own merits — rehost, replatform, refactor, retain or retire. Blanket cloud mandates are how organisations end up paying rent on a data centre they moved.

  2. Land the platform before the workloads

Landing zones, identity, network topology and guardrails go in first. Migrating onto an unfinished platform is how a cloud estate becomes ungovernable.

  3. Cost governance from day one

Tagging, showback and budget alerts are part of the migration, not a remediation project two years later when finance starts asking questions.
